Saturday, while we were at Mimi's for Grandaa's birthday they decided to give them their Easter baskets...Here they are waiting for Mimi to bring them in the room...

Easter morning the baskets were full...
Checking out the baskets....Cana is quite the fashionista in her rollers...She actually goes to bed in p.j.'s but wakes up with an outfit on...so at some point before she goes to sleep she changes into an outfit...I guess she is prepared if there is an emergency in the night!
We did these...Resurrection Eggs...this Easter...The kids LOVED them! I think you are supposed to do the whole box at one time. But we did it the 12 days leading up to Easter. They took turns each day opening an egg in the morning. The box comes with a page to read for each egg about why that object is in the egg. Each day we would review what happened so far, so by the end my kids knew what happened in the last days of Jesus' life and in what order. This picture is after we had opened all the eggs. I actually intended instead of this picture to have the one of Cana opening the last egg. It was her turn and when she opened it...it was empty. She loved it! But somehow in the picture loading I missed that one...

My parents came to church with us on Sunday and we had a GREAT early praise and then a very reflective worship reading through the last day of Jesus' life in our chronological Bibles...Then we went to Maria Bonitas to eat and made some pictures across the street...
Then it was off to Hartselle. The kids went straight to their Easter baskets...
