Additional note: The girl in front of Cana in the picture below is Emma. Cana and Emma were both born on December 9, 2004 in the morning at Decatur General Hospital! Isn't that neat? Chad and I were both in the hospital nursery together and now our daughter is friends with someone on her ballteam who was with her in the hospital nursery! Neat!

Making an out at first!!!
The kids are doing so well with ball this year! Colton's team is so different from last year. Colton plays first base and has been able to make a lot of outs at first. They have all improved so much. Their team has only lost 2 times. Cana's team has only won 2 games but the girls have improved so much! They are a young team and have learned a lot of the fundamentals this year. I am so proud of her for being able to play with and against girls that are older than her. Since her birthday is in December she wasn't able to play with her friends in 6U, but had to move up. She is doing great! She has been playing 2nd base and really likes it! She had her first homerun Tuesday night!! I screamed like a crazy woman! Then on Thursday night...it was at the end of the game. We were down by 1 and needed 2 runs. It came down to her to knock the two runs in to win the game. She had her 5th pitch but kept fouling it off until the 8th one. She hit it and knocked the two runs in to win the ballgame!! Her coach gave her an award called the "cool as a cucumber" award for being a clutch hitter! I am so proud of both of my little ball players!
