Today, a group from Marion Street met up at the church building to say goodbye to little Ethan. He passed away a week ago. His family had his "Going Home Party" today in Louisiana. Everyone was asked to wear blue...in memory of Ethan. After the "Going Home Party" his parents decided to have a balloon release. They would release blue balloons with the scripture of Mark 11:23-24 and the words "I Believe" attached. Since many of us followed Ethan's story for over a year, we wanted to say goodbye too. Tim said a prayer and read the scripture. Then we sang "Jesus Loves Me" and released our balloons. It was our little way of saying goodbye to someone we really cared about. By the way, thanks Atina for sharing the song that is playing on My Playlist..."Held" by Natalie Grant. This is such a great song. Another song of hers that makes me think of Ethan is called "In Better Hands" and if you haven't heard it...you need to. Ethan is truly in better hands now and is being held by the Father who loves him more than anyone else on this earth could love him.
