Christmas Eve night we went to Papaw Fischer's house...
Watching Christmas Vacation...by the way the fourth framed picture (from the left) on the wall is my Mom's portrait in high school. It has some pictures covering it so not much is visible.
Preston and Colton playing a DS...
Julie had just braided Cana's hair in little braids and they were snuggled up watching Christmas Vacation...
Papaw Fischer's gift to Cana...
a Wii game for Colton
A hug from Paw Fischer...
Our gift to him...a coffee mug with our picture with him on it...
Christmas morning we woke up to a beautiful, white, Christmas! My first ever!
Chad opening Cana's gift to him from the Candy Cane Shoppe at school...
"I want a hippopotamus for Christmas..."
Santa ate the cookies, drank the milk, shared the reindeer food and wrote a special letter for Cana and Colton...
Cana's letter to Santa...
Opening presents...
Playing in the snow...I got hit with many snowballs while trying to take pictures/ video. (Don't know why this is highlighted--but I can't get it off, so it is)
Building a snowman with Daddy...
I walked in and caught Colton sitting on the edge of his seat...just watching the snow fall!
Modeling his Auburn football uniform...
Christmas at Mimi and Grandaas....
Grandaa bought Cana a hippopotamus since she sings that song all the time and he bought Colton a monkey since he calls Colton that a lot.
From there we went to Grandmama Louise's get together but we weren't able to stay long since we were going to Hartselle afterwards. Cana started running a low fever and you can tell by the pictures that she was beginning to not feel well.
This was a present from my parents to all the kids....A Christmas Vacation ornament that lights up and sings the Hallelujah Chorus. A big hit!
Poppie and Nana opening their gifts from Cana that she picked out for them from the Candy Cane Shoppe at school...
Then we had a little too much fun playing with the photo booth on Sydney's new Mac book and we all laughed until we cried! Blake, Hud, and Preston were spending the night with Nana and Poppie anyway...but then we got iced in and our family spent the night also. So this was all the kids piled up on the air matteress (or bubble mattress as Cana calls it). Colton and Preston ended up sleeping with Nana.
After church in Hartselle Sunday morning, we went back home to Grandma's to have Christmas. Cana began feeling really bad and ran 102 fever. Cana and I left after gifts and took a nap and she has been battling fever ever since then.
We had a GREAT Christmas! We are so blessed! The best part of this time of year, for me, is spending time with family and really cherishing the relationships we share with one another.
