More Birthday Fun...

Last Tuesday night, Julie had a surprise 40th birthday party planned for Richard at Curry's.  He looked really surprised and we all had a great time...and delicious food!

Thursday was Cana's birthday so we let her open her presents first thing in the morning...Here she is with some of her gifts...

Then we let her decide what she wanted to do that day.  She wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese first.  We had the whole place to ourselves...not a soul was there...until we were leaving.

Then she wanted to go ice skating.  Other than one little boy, we had the whole rink to ourselves!  We had a lot of fun.  Chad got a little confidence up and decided he wanted to race...and I whooped him!  The second time he fell after I had given him a huge head start and I beat him again.  It just feels good to finally beat him in something! :-)

Then we surprised her by going to see Tangled in 3D.  Cute movie!

After the movie Mimi and Grandaa wanted to go out to eat to celebrate Cana's birthday at Logan's.  We had promised her ahead of time...so no Yee Haw for Cana!  When we got home, Amy's presents had arrived on our front porch.  She opened them right away...

We celebrated her birthday at school on Friday.  She wanted me to bring homemade chocolate chip cookies for the class.  It was western day at school hence the pigtails and cowgirl attire.

After the party, Chad and I left the kids with Mimi and we went to Nashville for our 9th Anniversary trip.  He surprised me with eating here (Union Station)...so nice!

We went downtown and listened to some of the bands and had a lot of laughs!  Saturday, he surprised me by taking me to see The Rockettes!  I absolutely love shows like this!  We did some shopping and ate at another nice restaurant for dinner.  We had a great trip!  It was nice to spend some alone time together and feel like we are dating again!  When we got back Cana was coughing a lot and ran a fever that night.  So we are in the process of getting her better.

Here are some videos from the past week...

The first one is Cana playing Skee Ball, but she tries to throw it like a windmill pitch...or as she calls it her "spinning wheel."  She actually did pretty good with this approach and scored 30,000 points!

This video is of the class singing Happy Birthday to Cana on Friday...

And this one is of Colton dancing to the Wii game that Amy got Cana for her birthday.  We thought it was so funny to see him dancing...especially in his underwear!
